Conocimiento tradicional de las plantas medicinales en Yeşilli (Mardin, Turquía)

Resumen


La provincia de Mardin, situada en la Alta Mesopotamia, en la antigua Ruta de la Seda, ha acogido 30 civilizaciones y la amalgama de varias lenguas y religiones. El distrito de Yeşilli, en la provincia de Mardin, es una región importante que comparte esta riqueza cultural. El objetivo de este estudio etnobotánico, el primero en el distrito, fue registrar las plantas utilizadas con fines medicinales por los residentes de Yeşilli y conocer cuáles de ellas son usadas con fines alimentarios. El trabajo de campo para documentar el conocimiento tradicional de las plantas se llevó a cabo en el distrito de Yeşilli desde marzo de 2017 hasta abril de 2022. Los datos se recopilaron entrevistando a 82 informantes. Además, los datos se analizaron en función del Valor de Uso (UV) y el Factor de Consenso de los Informantes (FIC) para determinar tanto el significado cultural como el conocimiento de las plantas medicinales entre los informantes Se identificaron en la región un total de 83 taxones pertenecientes a 34 familias. La mayoría de los remedios se prepararon mediante infusión y decocción. Las partes aéreas de la planta fueron las más utilizadas. El uso de plantas medicinales todavía está muy extendido entre los habitantes de Yeşilli. Dada la diversidad cultural de la región, este estudio es de inestimable importancia para futuras investigaciones etnobotánicas y etnofarmacológicas.
