Abstract

A new succulenticolous myxomycete of the genus Licea is described based on material from Spain (the Canary Islands), Mexico and the US A. It is very similar to L. biforis but differs in its smaller sporophores. and its bigger orange-yellow spores. The spores have a thick wall that is thinner and lighter towards one side. These differentiating characters were stable in spore to spore culture on agar.
