Abstract

Several hybrid populations between Armeria beirana Franco and A. pubigera (Desf.) Boiss. have been studied in a hybrid zone located in Carnota (A Coruña, Spain) along a coastal stretch approximately 3 km long. A morphometric multivariate analysis based on seventeen characters has shown that natural hybrids differ clearly from their progenitors and suggest that individuals from other hybrid generations besides F1 occur within the hybrid zone.
